Pant-Teg nestles high above the Teifi Valley, on the lower slopes of the Cambrian Mountains, between Tregaron (5miles - an old market town and Red Kite centre) and Lampeter (6 miles - a university town). This traffic free area of mid Wales will so enchant you with its gentle mountains and unspoilt coastline (Aberaeron 18 miles) that we are sure that you will leave Pant-Teg and its surrounding areas with a keen desire to return (proof in our guestbook!).
Pant-Teg (fair/beautiful hollow), originally a hill farm dating from about 1850, rests within 4 acres of south facing gardens with the B&B house and Cottages positioned in such a way that everyone has their own private space and yet can enjoy either exploring the gardens or relaxing on any one of the numerous benches, listening to the birdsong whilst taking in the magnificent valley views.
Gardens
These are well stocked with assorted maturing shrubs and flower beds attracting many species of wildlife. We have an area for our turkey (Valentino) and chickens also our pygmy goats (Edek and Ewa) with their own adventure park, who love nothing better than browsing round the wood with us and the cats.
Woodland
This is at the top of our grounds with benches and meandering paths leading to the banks of a pond awash with lilies, various plants and grasses, stocked with fish and attracting dragonflies, newts, frogs and all manner of small mammals.
Birds abound in our fields and hedgerows and many nesting boxes have been placed around the grounds. You will often see Red Kites and Buzzards gliding on the thermals above us and maybe even catch a glimpse of a beautiful white Barn Owl as it hunts at dusk.
With no light pollution the night skies are truly a sight to behold.
Pant-Teg is an ideal base to relax and enjoy the tranquil peace of the countryside and yet within easy driving distance, along peaceful scenic country lanes, to the many attractions that the surrounding area has to offer.
We offer safe storage for motorcycles and bicycles with use of a hosepipe if needed.
